Pilot®
The Pilot® thoracolumbar pedicle screw system has been engineered to deliver implants safely and quickly while maximizing versatility. Whether instrumenting through an open procedure or through an MIS approach, the unique screw insertion instrumentation allows for rapid, but accurate, screw delivery. The system has been designed with a robust cannulation that enables the surgeon to self-guide, self-tap, and self-drill the screws to shave cumbersome steps from the procedure. The Pilot offers quick installation and the simplicity of a top-loading rod delivery screw system. The Pilot heads can be pre-loaded with the 5.5mm rods (provided pre-lordosed, straight and pre-cut) placed onto the MIS guides and simply slid into the final position. The system self-adjusts to suit difficult anatomy and may be utilized as a facet-sparing device. The Pilot heads offer 360° screw head angulation, including adjustability in virtually every plane. Finally, securing the Pilot in place occurs in-line (allowing MIS approaches) with one-step lock up. The screws are available in 4.5 to 8.5mm diameters and in a variety of lengths. |
